On March 13, Anchor Bay Films presents the hilarious “mockumentary” Screwball: The Ted Whitfield Story on DVD. In the vein of A Mighty Wind and Spinal Tap – with a side of The Natural pop mythology – Screwball stars Ross Patterson (Stuntmen, The New Guy, Accepted), Joey Kern (Super Troopers, The Goods, Grind, Cabin Fever), Christine Lakin (You Again, Valentine’s Day, “Hellcats”) and veteran character actor Richard Riehle (“Grounded For Life,” Office Space, Growth). Screwball takes place during the Major League Baseball strike in 1994, when the nation turned its eyes from baseball – the Great American pastime – to professional wiffleball.
